COLUMBUS (April 27, 2008) Half Price Books, the nation's largest new and used bookstore chain, will unveil its newly-renovated store located at 1375 W. Lane Ave, at 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 30. The store, which originally opened in 1996, will feature a fresh, clean look and will offer a larger selection of merchandise. The first 100 customers through the door each day of opening weekend (Thursday-Sunday) will receive special Half Price Books tote bags containing gift cards. Everyone will get at least a $5 gift card but one random customer will receive a gift card worth $200. Customers can expect a new and larger buy counter, conveniently located by the back door to make it easier to sell merchandise. New fixtures are being put in place to allow more space for more merchandise. Additionally, the interior will be re-painted and the floors are being re-carpeted to give it a new and fresh appearance. "We are constantly looking for ways to improve our stores and make them more fun to shop," said Kathy Doyle Thomas, executive vice president of Half Price Books. "We buy merchandise from the communities we serve, and we feel this new look will make it easier for our customers to find even more of the deals and treasures we are known for." The Lane Ave. store will be open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, and will offer new and used books, magazines, comics, records, cassettes, videos, CDs, DVDs and collectible items. |
