Cindy Blobaum Animal Coat Catastrophe, by by Cindy Blobaum

Reading and writing is an integral part of our family life. My four children often pick up books as soon as they awake and are usually reading in bed at night until lights out. They each started writing and illustrating their own stories as soon as they could hold a crayon. They were a great help in providing feedback on drafts of "Animal Coat Catastrophe" and are always willing to help me field test hands-on science activities.

Brooke Cummings The Box by Brooke Cummings

I'm a Texan by birth, but two years ago I became a Jersey girl. I love animals, obsess over wolves and have a dramatic fear of insects. Some of my favorite things to do are sing, write, draw, read, and drive everyone around me to insanity. Something that helped me write "The Box" is that I sometimes behave four years younger than I actually am.

Ellen Emerman Grandpa's Favorite Place by Ellen Emerman

Books have always been a part of my life. My parents, brothers and I were always reading. My mother was a librarian in the Columbus Public Schools. When my father traveled, he would visit used bookstores and bring home lots of wonderful treasures. One of my favorite places as a child was the Bexley Public Library near our house in Columbus, OH. I have passed down this love of books to my own children and hopefully to many other children as well.
